Hello and welcome to Team Aspiring Aspens! It's time to start thinking about the Wiki Games! We have three events in the Sourcing Slalom starting Friday, August 25 at 8am EDT/Noon UTC going into the Cross Country Connecting on Saturday, August 26 at 8am EDT/Noon UTC then the final event of CC7x7 Wall Climb on Sunday, August 27 at 8am EDT/Noon UTC .

Here is the full livecast schedule for the hangouts, every four hours: Space:WikiGames#LiveCast_Schedule

Come visit our Team Page at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Aspiring_Aspens and let us know what you’ll be working on. Or you can start your own thread below by Answering this post.  You can give us updates on your progress, ask for and give help, etc. Remember don't start on our 4 Olympians until the start of the CC7x7 wall climb to maximise the gain. Nothing wrong with identifying potential connections beforehand though.

Please consider joining us on the Aspiring Aspens Team Discord Channel. It’s a lot of fun to have live conversations going during these types of events.  If you’re not already on the Discord server there are instructions on the help page.

I am looking forward to hanging out with you!

Her father was Willie Willard Manuel born 05 Sep 1900--son of Thomas Richard Manuel (1869-1952) and Mary Frances Roberts (1870-1924.  Her mother was Frances Washington born @ 1905 in Florida.  She had a full sister that died as an infant--Mary Frances Manuel born 20 Sep 1924 and died 08 Apr 1925.

The 1920 Census of Deland, Volusia County, Florida, has a Frances Washington, age 14 listed as the granddaughter of this family, Prince Akin (1857–Deceased) • Person • Family Tree • FamilySearch. I'm not sure if this is the same Frances Washington. The parents had 13 children and were born in South Carolina. Is anyone inclined to dig into this further than I'm able to?

From sources attached to his FamilySearch profile, Herbert Terrell Van Ingen Jr (1924–2010) • Person • Family Tree • FamilySearch, his father was Herbert Terrell Van Ingen Sr (1899-1976) and his mother was Jessica Pomeroy Bishop. His mother was married at least one other time and the year of her birth is in question. His obituary can be found at Herbert Vaningen Obituary (2010) - Stamford, CT - The Advocate (legacy.com). I suspect that the sisters listed in his obituary are half-sisters by his mother's first husband, Spencer Turner.

His Great Grand Uncle Henry Schmaltz Van Ingen had a sad story.

On December 30, 1903, his family went to watch a performance of a musicle called Mr Blue Beard at the Iroquois Theater in Chicago. 5 of his children perished in a fire that killed an estimated 602 people.

(Update: this info has been transferred to the Eric Hubert Green Research Space page.)

I've been looking up some of the listed source links on FamilySearch and found Eric's parents' marriage record and some other names to add.

* wife: Irene Kathleen McCaffrey. Listed together on 1911 census but not on 1939 Registry.

* parents: William Henry Green and Matilda Louisa Thomas, md 11 Aug 1873 in Brixton, Surrey. Matilda's father was William Henry Thomas and her husband's father was Henry Green.
Hi, I would like to help with the cc7 on this one tomorrow? We're can I see the free space page for him - so we can coordinate? I see hers got a lot of siblings
I have checked his 6 siblings and father, mother and wife to make sure there not already in wikitree. I also checked the gap between siblings Ethel and Clarence for another child on the gro but don't think there was one registered.
Thanks Darren
