1,000 Profile of the 106th New York Vols

Hi Wikitreers,

I have just added the One Thousandth profile of the veterans of the 106th New York Regiment. 

The profile is of 1st Lt. Daniel Peck (1822 - 1903) Company K

He still needs connecting but we have now over one thousand profiles of these veterans of the Glorious 106th NYV

Andrew, I connected Daniel Peck using his wife’s family. I wanted to connect with the Peck family, but I could not find a source for his father. I will keep working on the Pecks.

Interesting. The son in law Horace Pickit was also in the 106th New York Company K. The other son in law Justus Braydon Pickit (1837 - 1913) was in the 92nd New York 

Horace and Justus were brothers they married the two Peck sisters Celinda and Hannah respectively 

Edit: Horace Pickit just became veteran number 1001 added

Daniel’s great grand daughter has a wonderful bio on her FindAGrave memorial living till the age of 107

See her memorial for Ruth Anna Pickit Jones her father was Leslie and grandma was Hannah daughter of Daniel. The family moved to Minnesota then onto California. Absolutely amazing history here
