Hi Wikitreers

Mr. Abram Wilsey was a veteran of the U.S. Civil War serving with the 106th New York Infantry Company H. He was a “POW” Prisoner Martinsburg, Virginia from June of 1864 - August of 1864. However we need to connect him to his parental lineage. We have some wonderful sources but no obit can be found. Any collaboration is appreciated.

Thank you

Note: was he married or have any children? The gravestone appears to show his parents but very difficult to read needs decipher

Addendum edit: I created his cemetery category none existed on Wikitree any improvements is appreciated

Did you see that, in the 1880 U.S. Census, he appears to be listed as a widower?

Widowed or divorced. I didn’t see the 1880 census showing he is a boarder with Vermont roots. The middle initial not evident in the census appears to be a match. He still farming as he is listed in every census as a farmer. The incident when he was run over by the wagon he was “unloading calves”
The gravestone is hard to read but I don’t think his name is listed but maybe I’m not seeing it?
I can see the Abram on top, but the picture of the face is not very clear. About all I can see is Wilsey.

Thank you helps getting a second set of eyes to view it yes
