Hi Wikitreers, I have been working in collaboration with connecting the entire 106th New York Regiment and this veteran is somewhat of a mystery. He has a unique LNAB so connecting should be somewhat easier however I am unable to find much about him or where he is buried. The civilwardata source has a wonderful photo of him and fold3 had him in the 105th in error but even his fold3 source gives no bio or place of birth info that I was hoping to obtain. Any collaboration is appreciated. The surname appears to possibly be of Dutch Netherlands origin? Maybe Alternate spellings Thank you
Note: there is only one person with the surname that exists on FindAGrave see https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/45297230/peter-joseph-cillekens
Some little ideas….
"United States Census, 1870", , FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M87K-2YP : Wed Oct 04 03:23:39 UTC 2023), Entry for Wm Sillikin and Wm Keller, 1870. Prussian watchmaker.
Advertising he has the services of a Mr. Cilleken, norther watchmaker with European experience. There are several versions of this ad in this geography.

Do you have a reunion book for the 106th that shows where they live now and possibly a different name spelling? This could be a real valuable resource.
Thank you
