I have a mystery vintage 1910 antique post card in my collection and I’d like to trace its genealogy. 

The addressee is a Mr. Garfield Hayden living in North Windham, Conn

The message needs transcribing 

It appears to read:

“Have you had your vacation, take a trip up we are all well working everyday. GWC”

1). Need the 1910 census showing a Mr. Garfield Hayden in North Windham, Conn

2). Post mark dated July 21, 1910

3). Who sent the Post Card?

While his residence is listed in Massachusetts in the 1920 U.S. Census, he is listed in Windham County in the 1930 U.S. Census and the 1940 U.S. Census:

It looks like we have the right person! That article clinched the North Windham connection! Amazing work finding the mystery to this vintage lost card. I wonder who sent it? Maybe Grace Whitaker the sister? Initials are close to a match

It’s very interesting his father was a veteran of the Civil War too with the 31st Mass Regt

This IS a mystery  It may be a summer residence for he may not be listed in a typical directory?

I believe North Windham and Chaplin town lines were changed in their town history as it was all Windham at one time.

I found only one Garfield so far in the area in 1910.
