What (if any) relationship to Bancroft-87?

Hello,

Thomas Bancroft (Bancroft-2218) appears to be one of my ancestors, but his relatively early birth in Cape May (without any info on parents) has me stumped. His family had to come from SOMEWHERE! I have noticed that other early settlers in Cape May appear to have moved there from New England colonies (Connecticut and Massachusetts) rather than from earlier settlements in New Netherlands or New Sweden. Bancroft-87 fits that pattern, and is cited as an early settler of Cape May. I'm a "newby" at WikiTree, but I hope this is how I should suggest / request that the relationship between these two might be an interesting thing to research further...
