I am seeking information regarding my 3rd great grandparents. We do not know much about either of them. William D. Baldwin (b. abt. 1800, Ill. died abt. 1849, Tx.) and his wife Jane last name unknow (b. 1808 in Ohio and died before 1880 in Texas). Jane is illiterate. It appears she was about 16 when they married but it is unknow if it was in Illinois or Ohio. The first 5 children were born in Illinois and the 6th was born in Texas in 1838. There were 13 children. William received a land grant certificate # 108 for 640 acres in Jasper County, Texas, Jan.1838.
