Sources Found Not Affiliated with Gustave Anjou or Thomas Baldwin

It was recently brought to my attention the workings of Gustave Anjou. What a birds nest of duckery this man created which masterfully replicates itself over and over like a parasitic virus.

Discounting all of the work that is muddied into the Bacon Family Family Tree, I have found one source which was published in 1771 long before Baldwin or Gustave Anjou were born.

With that being said, If its possible to get pre-1500 certification, I would be willing to help make the proper connections to the profiles using this source if its deemed acceptable.

I have provided a link to the source. Of note the parentage of Margery (Bacon)Thorpe is incorrect according to this source, however, there is no project manager to message and Im not pre-1500  certified. Can somone please help me out, Id like to help fix the errors.

Here is the link to the source I feel is credible and most accurate.

An 18th century compilation like this is not much better than Anjou. Acceptable sources for pre-1500 include:
Wills
Inquisitions Post Mortem
Feet of fines
Chancery, Common Pleas, Kings Bench records
Taxation (Poll tax, Lay Subsidies)
Heralds Visitations (if used with caution; these can contain errors if going back more than 2-3 generations before the time of creation)

Whilst I may agree in theory but it would appear that based on the fact that you feel the source isnt sufficient, but there are hundreds of profiles out there using sources that are confirmed fraudulent. Are you saying that this source is no good as a source or its not the best case scenario

Vance has given you good advice. Higher quality sources are probably available which would better meet the current criteria for pre-1500 profiles. Some places to give you leads are:

Margery, thank you for this post. Please list the information for Thomas Baldwin. What is his Wiki-number? I have been working on the Baldwin line for several years and am pre-1500 certified. Several of these Baldwins were brought in without sources or profiles. This might be one I have overlooked. I will check back on G2G to see if you have posted this Baldwin profile. I have a great deal of information, particularly on several pre-1500 Baldwins. I am pre-1500 certified. Thank you! Carol Baldwin-3428

This Thomas Baldwin was an early 20th century genealogist whose work is discussed here:

Hi Vance, thanks so much for clarifying this information. I though that this was about a Thomas Baldwin on WikiTree who needed sourcing! My bad!
