You can purchase a record copy of the application (subject to privacy rules, if applicable).

The DAR GRS (Genealogical Research Service) data base is on-line at DAR Genealogical Research Databases

You can search on a number of fields, including name and ancestor number.  Ancestor numbers begin with the letter A.  A020863 is a man named Daniel Chapman who served from New York and died in Illinois.  The GRS includes the names of spouses and children.  For complete details you'll have to contact a DAR chapter or order the record.

Daniel has a Wikitree profile at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Chapman-24070

This info was posted in his FaG memorial and is verifiable. Does this constitute a valid source?
Find-a-Grave is not a valid source for DAR information (or anything that isn't on the tombstone for that matter)  since anyone can add anything to a memorial there.  Information on a DAR patriot should come directly from the DAR GRS, that is the primary source for that information.
