Parentage/accuracy of data for children of Felix Bourassa & Celeste Boutin

Genealogie Quebec lists records for 1) Matilde Bourassa (b. Feb 19 1829) and 2) Odile Bourassa (b. Oct 26 1828)

However, this cannot be possible because their births a) list the same mother & father and b) are only four months apart.  Any ideas?

My guess is that Odille Bourassa doesn't exist, the priest created the B.190 record by mistake :

Two sisters where pregnant at the same time :
Celeste Boutin, spouse of Felix Bourassa
(PRDH/Famille/161063) and
Josephte Boutin (AKA Marie Olive), spouse of Isaac Lecuyer
(PRDH/Famille/124441)

When the priest baptized Josephte's baby, he mistook her for Celeste. He also mixed-up the father and the godfather, and created the record B.190 for Odille Bourassa instead of Odille Lecuyer.

B.190 - 1828-10-28 - Odille daughter of Felix Bourassa and Celeste Boutin ...
Godparents Isaac Lecuyer and Isabelle Boutin.

Later on, the priest corrected its mistake creating a second record for Odille Lecuyer.

B.192 - 1828-10-27 - Odille daughter of Isaac Lecuyer and Josephte Boutin ...
Godparents Felix Bourassa and Josephte Boutin.

He should have striken-out the first record but he didn't. So now you get the two cousins with the same birth date and a daughter for Matilde that cannot exist.

My conclusion : Odille (Audille) Bourassa doesn't exist.

That is strange. The possibilities I can think of are:

1. The priest wrote down the wrong parents' names. Were there any couples with similar names in the same parish?

2. The priest wrote down the wrong information, and one of the children was not actually born the day before their baptism

3. One of the children was adopted as a newborn by Felix and Celeste

The only possible explanation is clerical error, the dates as such are correct, checked the original records, which are not misplaced in the record book as to dates.

There existed another couple Bourassa/Boutin in the area at the time, but they cannot be the parents of these girls, as the woman in that couple, Marguerite Boutin, died in 1826.

So which record has the actual error is up for grabs, I don't see further mention of Audile in this family.

Very strange. Is it just a coincidence that there was another baptism at the same parish in Sept 1829 for a Matilde Bourassa? This one was the child of Alexandre Bourassa and Angele Guerin: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-L993-Z8B7

I wonder if at some point the two records were somehow mixed up and miscopied?

yes, coincidence, there are a number of Bourassa families in the parish at the time, and Matilde appears to have been in fashion to give to girls.  Lots of them found in the era, for the years 1828-9 a quick search brings up 346 in Drouin collection records.
