Brien dit Desrochers - Contested Lineage / Inaccurate PRDH record - French Canadian [closed]

Question

Hello all,

After reviewing some conflicting information, my conclusion is that the PRDH record for this individual is inaccurate and does not accurately identity the correct birth record.  I am looking for others to review this profile to see if they come to the same conclusion.  Please see the research notes in the profile.

I believe it is the same person as [[Brien-291|Louis Amable (Brien) Brien dit Desrochers (1755-aft.1824)]] however a different birth date is on that profile.

nope, he is not Brien-291.  There are TWO marriages between a Louis Brien.. and a Marie Leblanc in the same time frame, the first is Brien-291's marriage, the second is on 22 Feb 1791 in Saint-Martin, île Jésus.  https://www.genealogiequebec.com/Membership/LAFRANCE/acte/352583 

the wife in that marriage is found to be named Marie Anne in later records, and when he remarries with Geneviève Galerneau, on 24 April 1815 in Sainte-Rose, Île Jésus, she is listed as Marianne Leblanc  https://www.genealogiequebec.com/Membership/LAFRANCE/acte/5709021

So these are definitely not the same man and wife as Brien-291.  PRDH is not in error about him.
