Agnes Wise's maiden name c 1535 - 1617

I found her husband's will and also his brother in law, but it doesn't conclusively prove that Agnes Kinge was Thomas Wyse' wife unless I'm missing something. Richard Kinge is Thomas' brother in law, and both wills mention the same children but Richards will doesn't mention his sister by name, and Agnes was still living at the time. There are no early records for them in Tilshead, Wiltshire. Agnes seems to have died in 1617 with a will https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Wise-589

Any help please :)

It is not conclusive but typically at this time an eldest daughter was likely to be named for her mother - in this case Agnes.

Thanks for the reply Lois. Yes, unfortunately there are a lot of Agneses there, I found at least 5 other wills with daughters Agnes, so it's also possible that he could have married 2 Agneses. I'm inclined to think she was Richard's sister, but can't say definitely.

The other odd thing is that although she mentions some of the other children in her will she only refers to Rachell Moody, and Agnes Lye as her daughters.

Though thinking out loud, I guess if Rachell and Agnes were her daughters, and they're mentioned by Richard as his sister's children, that must tie up the loose ends.
