1st Canadian Tramways Company

For all the Military and War experts here, I'm again in over my head on a unit category.  In researching Thomas Swann who was a British Home Child placed in Nova Scotia, I determined that he enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Forces and I'm trying to follow his military record to complete his biography.

In 1918, he became a member of the 1st Tramways Company, which was a company that literally built Tramways on the battlefield.  I can't find a category for this under the Canadian Expeditionary Force main category.  I have only been able to determine that the 1st Tramway company was formed mainly from the Pioneer companies which I also know he was a member of.

A completely non-military side note : I've essentially lost him in records after the 1921 census when he was back in Nova Scotia.  He liked either married, died or both and was probably buried somewhere.  If anyone has any ideas, feel free to contribute those as well.

Anyone want to take a look?  The profile is Swann-1721

Thanks
