Interesting Canadian Profile

I came across this profile during the Source-A-thon.  He is deserving of a better bio than what I have done.  He is mentioned in several books and articles that I have listed in the Sources section.

Does anybody want to learn more about the whaling industry in BC, NFLD, and NS?

He was captured by the Russians and escaped via Japan!!

There are pictures of him, his house and dog at BC archives.

He mentioned in a Ghost Town book.  The town is not listed in WikiTree.

Does he deserve any Category classifications?  Does he deserve the Category classification I gave him?

An interesting profile indeed! I've added a public domain photo from Library and Archives Canada. I'll leave it up to the British Columbia Project to answer your questions about categories. Thanks for the work you've done on the profile and for bringing it to our attention.

There is a category for whalers. I'd be inclined to add one for sealers too.
