Sarah Ann (Gibbs) Johnson (1829 - 1904)

Sarah Ann Gibbs was born July 16, 1829 in Franklin Centre, Huntingdon, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Samuel Gibbs and Amy Babcock. She first married Henry Johnson (about 1849) and married secondly to Levi Markham. She died February 17, 1904 in St Regis Falls, Franklin, New York, USA.

It appears the FindAGrave death date is not correct and the obit is also for someone else? However the date of birth is correct. A case of a conflated findagrave memorial with no gravestone image?

Need collaboration in her genealogy research and sourcing

Thank you

Note: I very much doubt she was Catholic? Does she have any family search sources?

It looks like Levi B. Markham may be buried in Ives Cemetery in Dickinson, with an earlier wife Jane:

No sign of Sarah Ann in that cemetery.

P.S. Still looking.

Henry Johnson, on the other hand, is buried in Earlville Cemetery in Earlville:

P.S.  But no sign of her.

Interesting and helpful. I found this memorial see FindAGrave matches the Wife Jane

The bio matches this family children etc.

Interestingly, there is a probate for a Sarah A. Johnson, late of Schenectady, whose will was probated on February 8, 1904, in Schenectady, New York:

https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/8800/images/005121328_00745?pId=1562160

The personal representative seems to be a Garrett Vandever Johnson - close date, but is that a relative?

P.S.  Listed on an ancestry tree, but that doesn't look to fit.

I wonder where she was in 1900.  It's like she disappeared.
On my dna thru lines I’m matching thru son Calvin Henry Johnson his son Oakley C. Johnson 1890-? His son Murray Johnson 1922-? And the other is the daughter Amy R. Johnson 1850-1905 her son Henry Benjamin Titus 1875-1972 then Glady Titus 1896-? Then a Wendell Dolloff 1913-1995.

Edited: Fixed typo

It’s the only trail via dna for Sarah Johnson plus her wonderful obit but not finding Familysearch sources yet.
