Amy G Shonio (1901 - 1920) “Girls Body Found Beneath Tree”

Amy Shonio was born on January 09, 1901 in Waterbury, Washington, Vermont, United States. Her parents were Manley Shonio and Eva Schermerhorn. She died on July 31, 1920 in Johnson, Lamoille, Vermont, United States. Apparently she was killed by a Arthur Mudgett. Is there any sources showing what happened to Arthur? A very tragic story!

Any help in her genealogy is appreciated.

Thank you

Interesting. I wonder if he completed the sentence?

FindAGrave has a good bio a sourcing showing “ It was first thought to be a suicide, but an autopsy revealed she had been operated on for an abortion, and then after the abortion was unsuccessful; she was strangled.

Still looking on that.
Thank you Roger. I checked but she has no gravestone photo. I would think she has a gravestone
I wonder if she was pregnant with Arthur’s baby?

I believe Arthur Mudgett has a FindAGrave memorial Here
