Looking for baptism and marriage records in Germany

Hello all,

I am looking for the baptism and marriage records for my great great grandmother. Records for her after her emigration to Australia are no problem; but I am not at all confident with the German records. Unsourced internet trees give her parents as Heinrich Konrad Christian Schmidt and Maria Christine Caroline Wittneben. I thought I had found them in an 1867 German census, but then I started to think that maybe they were a different family. Her place of birth is presumed to be in the Cummerow area of what was once Prussia. I would appreciate any help or clues. Cheers, Elizabeth.

There is a small problem. In the former Prussian state there existed 4 villages named Kummerow, two in West Prussia, two in Brandenburg. And there are two additional Kummerows in Mecklenburg. Do you have an idea which one it could be.?

There is a Hermine Auguste Louise Schmidt born on 5 Jan 1854 in Kummerow, district Beeskow-Storkow, Governmental district Potsdam, province Brandenburg, Kingdom of Preußen, Deutscher Bund.

The parents are night watchmann Friedrich Schmidt and Justine Friederike Schmersen. (No. 1/1854 parish record Kummerow).

But there is no evidence that she married Wilhelm Friederich Kapernick from Stendal. The distance between the two places is 295 km, I would never believe without further reference.

But I saw, that it could be Stendell, that is possible, because that is near by, only 7 km.
