Advice before adding of this pre-1700 Major profile?

I can add a to the profile of Frances Major. This is who I can add:

• I am trying to add Henry Louis Gate,
• But I need to add Lea-56 to Frances

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Karen, you have not said anything about who Henry Louis Gate was or how he was related to Frances, nor is there a profile with ID Lea-56.  You also did not include what sources you have for any of this.  

When I looked at Frances' profile, it is essentially unsourced - there are two links to ancestry family tree pages, without specifying who these pages are for, and a number that is given as a "Family Search ID", which is also most likely a family tree.  As strongly emphasized in the pre-1700 certification process you completed, family trees are not acceptable sources for pre-1700 profiles, so Frances' profile should not have been created without first finding a valid source.
