I am looking for the origins of Phebe Major who was born in October 1830. She was likely born in New Jersey, but some censuses show she was born in Pennsylvania. She died on 18 April 1906 in Salem Twp., Wayne Co., Pennsylvania.
According to her death certificate she was a daughter of James Major.
She was married twice. First, in about 1850, to William Wild (1817-1884) of Nottingham, England and then to John Simons of Pennsylvania in 1887.
She appears to have lived most of her adult life in Salem Twp. and Hawley in Wayne Co., Pennsylvania, but her childhood home has not been identified.
