Yes, Jean Lalonde-63 is my 7th great-grandfather through both Guillame and Marie-Madeleine on 3 ancestral lines; both of my maternal grandmother’s parents were descended from him.

I have identified 19 soldats du Carignan and 29 Filles du Roi ancestors but have not gotten around to submitting the documentation for certificates from the Société, because for a while they were not processing applications due to the pandemic. But it seems they have resumed this at some level.

Luc Lalonde-707 living is my 12th Great Grandfather thru  his child: Jean-Baptiste. I live in Québec. I did my DNA test with Ancestry. I hope that i'm directly relate. I know that the rest of my acestor Jean de Lalonde are in the crypte in the church of Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue (Montréal island). it would fun to have the DNA of this Lalonde.

I cannot say. My great-grandfather was Arthur Lalonde, from Brockville, Ontario possibly born June 7, 1869, married to Rose Larocque on November 28, 1891, and died January 20, 1927, all in Brockville, ON. His parents were maybe a David Lalonde and a Mary Bone, but I can find no trace of them other than their names on one document (and those might not be correct).  I have run into a "brick wall" with Arthur Lalonde.<!--[if gte mso 10]> /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin-top:0in; mso-para-margin-right:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:8.0pt; mso-para-margin-left:0in; line-height:107%; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif; mso-ansi-language:EN-US;} <![endif]-->

Trying to help add some sources to his profile smiley

Okay. Thanks.
Hi Cindy,

What sort of sources are we in need of/looking for to improve [[Lalonde-63|Jean Lalonde dit Lespérance]]'s profile??

I'm a direct ancestor of the Lalonde dit Lespërance, the Brabant dit Balan, Pilon and D'aoust family lines (amongst others from Oka, Deux-Montagnes and Montreal, Quebec regions).

Jean and Marie are my 15th great-grandparents on my paternal side. I'm pretty sure that I have some reliable resources, research and documents for sourcing, if needed.

I frequent the LAC (Library and Archives of Canada) and the BAnQ (Québec Library and Archives), as I am lucky enough to live on the Ontario-Québec border.

I also have some family resources and stories (written) that have been passed down through out the (many, many, many) decades. I believe a family member even may still have a painted portrait of the couple. I'll have to inquire.

He is my 8x great-grandfather.  Who is he, Jean Lalonde dit L'ésperance?  I'm an adoptee and only came to know my paternal side was 100% French & Quebecois 4 years ago.  My records said my father was of Dutch ancestry.  It's been a great thrill for this Francophile, who married a man of Quebecois ancestry, to find out I'm over 50% French/Quebecois.
