unsourced parents for this fille du roi, should they be detached? [closed]

Anne Michel married twice in New France, but no marriage record nor contract has reached us for her at all, her origin and parents are in fact unknown.  She is currently sitting with parents, which I feel should be detached.  Advice, comments?

I agree with you. I would detach her from her “parents”. Even the biography says her parents and place of origin are unknown.

I usually rely upon Peter Gagne's book for data on Filles du Roi.  He simply says "her origins in France are unknown" and he does not include any information on who her parents might be.  I would remove any parents assigned to her.

Gagne, Peter J., "King's Daughters and Founding Mothers, The Filles du Roi, 1663-1673" (Woonsocket, RI, American-French Genealogical Society, 2001)
