It seems that there are two Daniel Waters in Hingham that need tracking:
1) Daniel Waters Sr. who was married to Abagail and had many children - including son Daniel Jr who was the oldest child:
"Waters, Daniel, the son of Daniel Waters and Abagail..was born 13 December 1720. "Hingham, Hubbard´s Journal, with Births, Marriages, and Deaths.
Daniel Sr's wife died August 1738 in Hingham and left Daniel with children that needed a mother. I am speculating that the marriages that occurred after Abagail's death were Daniel Sr's marriages: In 1740 he married Mary Wilder in Hingham. She died November 1756 in Hingham. He then married in 1756 and/or 1758.
2) Daniel Waters Jr. who seems like he married in Norwich CT and remained there. Children born after marriage. Did he remain there? Die there?
Needs investigating.

William Waters was born April 20, 1745.
Elizabeth Waters was born May 7, 1746.
William Waters & Lydia Longbottom, both of Norwich, were married Oct. 6, 1765.
Jacob Waters was born Sept. 5, 1766.
Levi Waters was born July 4, 1768.
Elijah Waters was born Jan. 5, 1771.
William Waters, son, was born March 10, 1773.
Elizabeth Waters was born Aug. 14, 1775.
Lydia Waters was born Oct. 11, 1778.
Josiah Waters was born July 17, 1780.
Charles Waters was born Aug. 16, 1784.
