Robert's fate after 1783?Henderson-2297 13:51, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
Many trees show Robert as dying 8 Sep 1864 with some saying Kincardine, some Port, but with no further details.
This looks very suspiciously like the death of Robert's brother John who died that date, aged 76, widowed mason, especially as at least one tree has John's 1851 census entry attached to Robert ( along with brothers John and William) in their tree, despite the age discrepancies (John born 1788, Robert born 1783)
ScotlandsPeople returns no results in the 1855+ death index from a year search by wildcard ("j*n*k*n*"), forename begins Rob, in either Perth, or all of Scotland, nor from leaving out death year and allowing birth 1783 +/- 5 years
