Biography
James was born on 20 February 1853 at Dandalup, Western Australia.[1][2]
MARRIAGE NOTICE FAIRBAIRN—FAIRFAX.—October 22, at the Congregational Church, Pitt-street, by the Rev. James Jefferis, LL.B., James Alexander Fairbairn, of Warrah, to Emily, only daughter of John Fairfax, of William-street.
They had three children.
On 6/6/1900 he married Ada Augusta Lowe in St Mark's Darling Point. He was a widower. Marriage record has his place of birth as Fremantle. Ada died 1945.
He was 1st buried in Queensland Drayton and Toowoomba Cemetery. But his body was moved to South Head General Cemetery 16/06/1911.
