Biography

Her parents travelled to the Swan River colony on the Hindoo which arrived in Western Australia on the 20/4/1839. It is unlikley that she would have been born in Guildford that same day. Perhaps she was born on board and her birth was registered in Guildford after they arrived?

Isabella was born on 20 April 1839 in Guildford, Western Australia.[1] She was the daughter of John Fairbairn and Elizabeth Pollard.

She probably moved to New South Wales with her father in about 1864.[2]
