Biography

John was baptised on 18/3/1800 at Greenlaw, Berwick, Scotland. His parents were shown as Robert Fairbairn tenant Cowrig and Janet Ainslie. His parents were married 25/7/1789 in Gordon, Berwick, Scotland. They also had a daughter Isabel baptised on 6/8/1801 in Greenlaw.

Youngest son of the late Robert Fairbairn, Esq, of East Gordon, Berwickshire, Scotland.

Children. Margaret b. 1837. Isabella b. 1839, Robert b. 1841 (W.A.) d. 1922. Jane Ainslie b. 1843, George b. 1848, Mary Ann b. 1849, James Alexander b. 1853.
A sawyer. engaged as servant to Singleton at Pinjarra. He was schoolmaster at Pinjarra 1848-1864. To N.S.W. with several of their children accompanying them & where their dtr. Margaret joined them from U.K.

DEATH NOTICE
On the 8th instant, at his residence, 13, Dowling-street, Surry Hills, in the 72nd year of his age, Mr. JOHN FAIRBAIRN, youngest son of the late Robert Fairbairn, Esq., of East Gordon, Berwick-shire, Scotland. ^[1][2]
