Biography
Cynthia Ann Darnell was born in Pennsylvania on 23 Nov 1823 to parents Catherine (Campbell) Woods (abt.1796-1870) and David Herron Woods (1782-1849). Cynthia (misspelled as Cinthia) Ann Woods was baptized on 13 Apr 1824, at the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church in Shippensburg, Cumberland, Pennsylvania, USA (David is substantiated as her father.)[1].
At some point prior to the age 26, her family moved to Little Rock, Kendall, Illinois, USA[2]
She is seen living with husband, Enoch Darnell, and their 1 year old son, Newton in Afton DeKalb, IL in the household of Sylvester Richmond (relationship unknown) in 1860.[3]
Cynthia and Enoch Darnell, were the parents of Catherine Agnes, Newton,[4] and Willis Darnell (1865-1937)[5]
