Biography
Catherine was born abt.1796-1797[1][2].
On 5 May 1816, Catherine Woods is mentioned in the "Marriages" section of the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church Registry in Shippensburg, Cumberland, Pennsylvania.[3] This record may possibly be a marriage certificate; however there is no "purpose" obvious.
In 1850, "Catharine" (53) was shown on the 1850 census as living in the household of her son, John (30) along with her other children - Cynthia, David, Jane, Catharine, and Isaac Spence Woods. Isham Finer (22) was also living in the household (no relationship given).[4]
In 1860 "C Woods" (65) is head of household, listed as "farmer". Living with her were her children David, Daniel, Thomas, Isaac and Elisa and grandson, Leif (8 months).[5]
She passed away 11 Mar 1870 in Little Rock, Kendall, Illinois and was placed to rest at the Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano,Kendall, Illinois.[2] [6]
