Biography

Orin Willie Wilcox was born on 14 May 1898 at Arlington, Bennington Co., Vermont, USA.^[1] He appeared on the census of 6 June 1900 in the household of his parents, Willie Ozial Wilcox and Addie (Morey) Wilcox, at Sandgate, Bennington Co., Vermont.^[2] He appeared on the census of 21 April 1910 in the household of his parents at Sandgate, Bennington Co., Vermont.^[3] He was a farm laborer when he appeared on the census of 9 Jan. 1920 in the household of his parents at Sandgate, Bennington Co., Vermont. ^[4]

He married Helen Bustelle^[5] or Pistel^[6] circa 1921.^[7]

He and Helen appeared on the census of 15 April 1930 at Arlington, Bennington County, Vermont.^[7]

He married Jennie Hastings Woodard, daughter of Lester Woodard and Cora (Hastings) Woodward, on 21 Dec. 1935 at Cambridge, Washington County, New York.^[6]

He and Jennie appeared on the census of 18 April 1940 at Arlington, Bennington County, Vermont.^[8] Jennie died in March 1962. ^[9]

He married Emma L. Maak, daughter of William and Margaret (Jeffers) Maak. She died in Aug. 1965.^[9]

He married Bessie McWayne Tobin, daughter of John McWayne and Lettie (Nichols) McWayne on 31 Oct. 1965 at North Bennington, Vermont. It was his fourth marriage and her second.^[10] Bessie died in Dec. 1966.^[9]

He lived in 1982 at Manchester Center, Bennington Co., Vermont. Orin died on 14 May 1983^[11] at Rutland, Rutland County, Vermont, USA, at age 85 and was buried at West Arlington Cemetery, West Arlington, Bennington County, Vermont.^[12] His memorial has a photo of his headstone shared with Jennie and Emma and links to those of family members.^[9]
