Besides research on my own family, I use Wikitree to help with my other obsession, the early Photographers in Atlanic Canada. Please pop over to The Early Light Project and see what I am up to. If you use Facebook, please be sure to like or follow, and by all means share.
All mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must be so translated.

In other words, there is much work to be done.
I was born in 1958, son of Harold Ward and Mary Lockhart. I am a 44th great grandson of Gibica Burgunden AD 350-407 ( King of the Burgundians) and I can trace that lineage more than 100,000 ways (so I am told).
Also, Robert I Bruce is my great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grand father, and a whole lot of other people's, too ...

Note: You will find connecions to both Emily Dickinson and Taylor Swift in the list below. In 2024 a company called Ancestry made a big thing of pointing that they are related, a fact which users of wikitree have been able to ascertain for quite a long time.)

We've put together a survey for you to fill out to check in with you, it will only take a moment as there are only a few questions. Filling out the survey lets us know you are still interested in coordinating your study and provides an opportunity for you to share any suggestions you may have for the project.
Congratulations to you too, fellow New Brunswicker, for reaching 10k Connections. For me too it was a team effort, with a lot of help from my brothers. I can’t imagine reaching 20 000, but you never know. I saw a reference to the Early Light Project on your profile, and took a look. Oh my goodness! So many fascinating photographs and descriptions. Looking forward to reading all of it and following this group. You made my day!
And to you, Bill. Congratulations on your achievement as well. You know full well how long it takes. I give most of the credit to my brother, Stu, who has been at this since his college days, but the last push over the latter part of July was fun.
I see from my G2G feed that you have Christopher ancestors. Me too. Where are yours from? Mine are from Iowa. When you get a chance come check out the Christopher surname project page and post a comment there to introduce yourself. If there's ever anything I can do to help or any questions I can answer, let me know.
Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need.
Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up gedcom biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!
Thanks for Charles Langelier. If you're on a roll, please go with it! At least five more siblings to go! But Francois and Charles were the famous ones.
