Biography

Ellen was born in Farnham Surrey on 4 February 1871. She is the daughter of George Stock and Ann Nichols. Ellen was christened in Farnham on 5 March 1871.

At the time of the 1891 census, Ellen age 20 was residing in the William J Massey household in Camberwell London where she was working as a 'cook domestic servant'.

On 30 May 1898 at St Thomas-On-The-Bourne Church in Bourne, Ellen age 27 married Frank Kingdon, a butcher. Ellen and Frank would become the parents of 5 sons who were born between 1899 and 1909. Almost from the time of their marriage, the family was residing in Harrow-on-the-Hill Middlesex - specifically they lived at 18 Lance Road at the time of the 1939 Register and for the remainder of their lives.

Ellen was widowed in 1953 and she passed away in Harrow on 20 November 1965 at age 94.
