1840 Catherine was born on 12 October 1840 (not 1839 as indicated in the book by SPH Statham^[1]. She is the daughter of Francis Statham and Jane Kington. She was baptized on 6 November 1840^[2]. See image of birth/baptism record.

1841 In the 1841 Census of England and Wales held on 6 June 1841, the Statham family were living on the High Street in the Borough of Lambeth in the Parish of St Mary Newington, London, England^[3]. Note that at the date of the census, Francis Statham was a schoolmaster and that his son Francis Kington Statham was not staying with the family.

1851 In the 1851 Census of England and Wales held on 3 March 1851, the Statham family is living at 8 Sutherland Terrace, Lambeth, London, England^[4]. This is in the parish of St Mary Newington, Ecclesiastical District of St Peter Walworth, Borough of Lambeth.

1860 Marriage of Catherine Elizabeth Statham to Jones Percivall on 12 April 1860 at St Peters Church, Walworth in the Parish of St Mary, Newington in the County of Surrey, England^[5][6]. Jones Percivall is listed on the marriage certificate as 40 years old, a bachelor with the profession of coal merchant and living at Queens Row at the time of his marriage. His father was Henry Percivall, a gentleman and was deceased.
Catherine Elizabeth Statham as 20 years old, a spinster, with no profession, living at 9 Grosvenor Street. Her father is listed as Francis Freeman Statham, the minister at St Peters, Walworth.
