Robert Napier Jr testified on 4 Feb 1742 that He had married Mary Hughes Napier 17 years ago. 1742-17 yrs = 1725 year of Marriage. Making Patrick Napier Sr born probably in 1726. Also states, They lived together for 13 years until 1738 and had 6 children. And that about 4 years ago in 1738 Mary separated from him. They were still separated in 1742. All the children were born before 1738. Patrick , Stephen, Frances, Ashford , Robert , and Judith.[1]

Patrick Napier Sr was never married to Judith Burke. There is not one document connecting The Napier's and Patrick to the Burke Family. Judith Burke was still single in Augusta county in June 1767 while Patrick Napier Sr was married to Ann Franklin in Bedford County,... After the Napier's left Bedford ca 1772 they moved back to Albemarle Co, Virginia , Edmund Napier sold his land and survey of 361 acres to Anderson Bryan On May 10, 1775. Patrick Napier Sr and Edmund Napier were added to the Fluvanna County tax list in Dec of 1777 and they lived in Fluvanna Co until mid 1782. The Burke Family was still living in Augusta County.. Patrick Napier Sr and his family moved to Montgomery County in 1782 and was buying land from Walter Crockett in August of 1782. Judith Burke does not belong.

With new records found, it appears Judith Burke was never married to Patrick Napier Sr. She was still single in June of 1767 in Augusta County, Virginia while Patrick Napier Sr was living in Bedford County still married to Ann Franklin. This further proves that all the sons of Patrick Napier belong to Ann Franklin., Also most of the girls are named after the franklin Family , Joice, Dicey, Ann, & Lucy are all named after the Franklin girls. There has not been one document found tying Patrick Napier Sr to the Burke family And Patrick Napier Sr and Edmund Napier and family were living in Albermarle & Fluvanna County after they left Bedford ca 1772, They lived there until Patrick Napier Sr moved to Montgomery in late 1782..The Burke Family was still in Augusta in 1782.

Napier-1481 and Napier-734 appear to represent the same person because: these too should be merged (and my apologies.. the other Napier-148x profile should have been proposed with Napier-734 also).

However - reading all the comments. Did Judith Burg marry a Patrick Napier? If so, one of the duplicates should be edited to represent her Patrick... comments on Napier-734 clarify that the same Patrick Napier did not marry both Ann Franklin & Judith Burk.

Give me a holler (on my profile or by private message) if I can help with sorting out the four (more) Patrick Napier b c1725 profiles.

Thanks!

Judith Burk never married Patrick Napier, The two families were never together until after 1782 when Patrick Napier sr and His family moved to Montgomery County from Fluvanna County, Virginia. Judith Burke still listed as Judy Burke in Augusta in Mid 1767 while Patrick Napier Sr and Ann Franklin were living in Bedford County, Virginia. The Judith Burke narrative was a faulty story put out by early researchers who even stated they did not know it as fact. There are no records showing any connection between Patrick Napier Sr and any of the Burke family associated with Judith or otherwise.

Napier-877 and Napier-734 appear to represent the same person because: although the death dates are several years apart, i think these two profiles are intended to represent the same man (same wives/general information) and should be merged. Thanks!

Napier-1485 and Napier-877 appear to represent the same person because: these were set as rejected but I don't see why. The only info for Napier-1485 is text that has a birth year just one off from Napier-877. Although that's not a strong statement that these are duplicate profiles, there's nothing to say that they're not. Please merge. Thanks!

Patrick Napier married Ann Franklin ca 1750, their Oldest son Edmund Napier was born in 1752 based on His 1775 Land and Survey that was dated 10 May 1775 In Albemarle County. His property was transferred to Anderson Bryan. 361 Acres

Also to note , since we know Ann Franklin survived. You must consider the names of His Patrick's children. His oldest son is named after His father in law Edmund Franklin. His daughter Dicey is named after His wife's Sister, His daughter Ann is named after His wife Ann Franklin, His daughter Lucy is named after Lucy Franklin . His other children seem to be named after the Napier family. His daughter Judith is likely named after His own Sister Judith. We have already proven that all kids up to Patrick Napier Jr belong to Ann Franklin. Judith Burk was still single in July of 1767 in Augusta.

Patrick Napier ever married Judith Burk or Judy Burk as She is seen in land records. The Napier's and Burks are never in the same county until Montgomery County after 1782 by then all of Patrick Napier's kids were born. In the case of Franklin vs Salkield it was found that Edmund Franklin had to get another doctor to cure Ann Franklin Napier ..She was cured and survived..There are land records showing Judith still single going into 1768 while Patrick Napier is still in Bedford County married to Ann Franklin. Patrick Napier leaves Bedford shortly after 1770 and goes to Albemarle County and then is absorbed into the new county of Fluvanna County. They are in Fluvanna From 1777 to at least 1782 as Him and His eldest son Edmund Napier are in the tax list there.
