Biography

WIlliam Hawke was born on 5 April 1867 at Kapunda, South Australia. His parents were James Renfrey Hawke and Elizabeth (Trewartha) Hawke.^[1]

William Hawke married Ruth Dew on 9 July 1890 at the Baptist Manse in Kapunda. He was 23, son of James Hawke; she was 19, daughter of George Dew.^[2]
