His 21 Oct 1764 will was not proved until 20 Aug 1769 in Albemarle County.[2][1] In it, several slaves are enumerated, but do not appear to be named.

These are yet to be identified. A transcription of the will[2] might at least identify the number of enslaved persons.

Thank you. I have added reference. For any volunteer cursive readers, a complete abstract of the transcription would be beneficial to have (please see narrative biography).

It would have been nice to compare profiles before creating new ones. As a result there are a lot of profiles to be merged

Hi William - Did the duplicates that you found get resolved? If the dates do not align, sometimes people reject matches because they're unsure; perhaps that was what happened?

Anyone can initiate a merge request. If the dates or paternal constellation doesn't align/spouse(s), that too requires explanation in the merge request and ideally using a citation can help to expedite the acceptance of the merge.

If you need help getting the duplicate(s) put into merge request status (initiated), please list the WikiTree IDs and I can see if I can help get them processed.

Otherwise; best of luck!
