could you post sources for birth dates of children please? It appears that Mary's Woodson children were born before her Farrar children & since Joseph Royall Farrar was not named as executor, he must have been under 21 at the time of his father's 1749 will (i.e., born after 1728).

Thanks!

Something is certainly wrong here. I don't know where I got that information. I'm sorry.

Thanks for checking Wanda. I intend to change their dates to be later (and since Mary's 1757 will does not name her Royall son as an executor, I'll put his birth as after 1736... not 21 by 1757).

Cheers, Liz

of interest (but doesn't explain Woodson "sons in law")... According to WikiTree's Relationship Finder, this Joseph is nephew of John Farrar (abt.1670-bef.1729), husband of Temperance (Browne) Batte Farrar (abt.1672-), who was the daughter of John and Sarah Browne - the widow Sarah Browne married John Woodson II (1632-1684).

This Joseph Farrar is a complete fiction, and the creation of him to fulfill the needs or justify the tree of another is a genealogical crime.

The records of St John's Church, Henrico Co, VA mention, in transcription, the marriage of a Joseph Farrar to an Anne Floyd in 1682 and in 1686 to a Sarah Turpin.

This person is actually Joseph Farmer. And Mary Williams was not the mother of any Farrar, until the birth of a Mary Williams in 1725, and she married William Farrar V,son of Wm IV and his cousin wife Sarah Farrar, grandson of William III and Priscilla Baugh, great grandson of Wm II and Mary Baugh.
