I became interested in researching my family's history decades ago. My grandmother used to say that someone should write a book about our family, because it's better than any soap opera or work of fiction. I've often seriously considered doing so, but I knew I would need to find out more about my ancestors first.
Around 2003 I finally got serious about genealogy. I've done a lot of searching and verifying info on many different ancestor lines. Some branches have been easier than others. Some leave me scratching my head. In others I've hit a brick wall. But I still keep working them. I'm continually looking for more family members. My greatest excitement in all this research comes when I find information about the individuals in my family tree that make them seem more "real" to me.
My main focus is related to the Dwight Edmond, Barbara Hardin and Goldie Lang lines.

My source for this information is from the journal of Albert Gallatin Hardin, a grandson of Richard’s. In his journal was a handwritten paper from Albert’s nephew, Edwin D. Hardin which gave all these details. The note also states that there was a set of Siamese twins that came over also.

We are happy to have you as a member of WikiTree. I hope youre enjoying being here.
I'm a member of the Mentor project, and I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Do you have any questions I can help you with?
Shirley WikiMentor
You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. The New Member How-Tos are for you to work at your own pace. If you had a chance to review any of it, was it helpful?
If you have questions about how WikiTree works, I'm here to help. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page. I'll get back to you by the end of the day.

I recommend starting with our New Member How-To pages. They will save you time, energy and frustration as you create your family profiles. If the link doesn't work in your e-mail, you can find it in the public comments on your profile page.
Need help? Just ask!
Above all, have FUN! :) I hope you enjoy WikiTree as much as I have!
Kind regards,
Vicky Majewski ~ WikiTree Greeter & Member since August 2015
