Biography

Fannie Chafe was born on June 10, 1870 in St. John's, Newfoundland. Her parents were George Chafe and Harriet Whitten.^[1] She married Abel Dean on April 21, 1901 at North Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.^[2] Together they had 4 children:

1. Roland Dean
2. Olive Dean
3. Howard Dean
4. Edward Dean

Later that year she was recorded on the 1901 census with [Dean-14674|Abel Dean]] and 2 step children # Alfred Dean and # Elsie Dean.^[3] In 1911 she was living in Sydney, Nova Scotia with her husband, Abel, their 4 children and 2 step children.^[4]

She died on October 28, 1948 in Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. ^[5] She is buried in Hardwood Hill Cemetery at Sydney, Nova Scotia.^[6]
