Biography
Mary Chafe was born on December 28, 1852 in Petty Harbour, Newfoundland. Her parents were George Chafe and Harriet Whitten.[1] She married James Clayton on March 30, 1878 at St John's, Newfoundland.[2] Together they had 5 children:
She passed away in 1886 and is buried in the Anglican Cemetery in St John's, Newfoundland.[3]
