Between October 1444 and July 1445 Sir Alexander Forbes, knight, was raised to the Peerage, as he is at the first date styled "of that Ilk," and in a writ of 1 July 1445 he is styled LORD FORBES. The last reference to this Lord Forbes is on 12 July 1447, when King James II. granted a precept in his favour to the Lords of Exchequer, remitting to him the arrears and remainder of his accounts.
