Alexander (Forbes) Forbes Fourth Lord Forbes is Notable.
Alexander (Forbes) Forbes Fourth Lord Forbes is a member of Clan Forbes.

Alexander Forbes was the eldest son and heir to William Forbes, 3rd Lord Forbes, and Christian Gordon, third daughter of Alexander Gordon, first Earl of Huntly, and Elizabeth Crichton.[1] His year of birth is not provided in source and is estimated based on life events. He succeeded to the title as 5th Lord Forbes on his father's death, before July 1483.

On 5 July 1483 Alexander, 4th Lord Forbes, son and heir of William, 3rd Lord Forbes, was ordained to pay to Margaret, Lady Dirleton, 2000 merks, being the double of the casualty of his marriage, for his failing to marry Margaret Ker, Lady Dirleton's daughter.[2]

He supported King James III, and attaching himself to the King's party he took up arms to revenge his death in August 1488.

He married Margaret Boyd, only daughter of Thomas, Earl of Arran, and niece of King James III, before August 1488. They had no children. [3]

Alexander 5th Lord Forbes died between August 1488 and 6 May 1491, without issue. His title passed to his younger brother, Arthur 5th Lord Forbes.[3]

Margaret re-married about 9 August 1509, to David, Earl of Cassillis.
