Biography

C. Elizabeth Barton was born on March 24, 1830, in Pickens, South Carolina, United States, daughter of Peter Looney Barton (1808–1893) and Nancy Terrell (1813–1884). The family moved to Cass County, Georgia before 1840 and back to Pickens shortly after 1840. ^{[1] [2]} They moved to Bosque County, Texas shortly after the Civil War. ^{[3] [4]}

She never married.

Elizabeth died on January 19, 1906, in Bosque, Texas, United States, aged 75. She is buried in Barton Cemetery, Mosheim, Texas. ^[5]
