Edward Auxier was born in Kentucky.

Biography

Edward was born in 1864 in Johnson County, Kentucky. He was the son of Nathaniel Auxer and Hester Mayo, who both died when he was a young child. He was raised by his brother George. At the age of 21, he came to Dawson, Nebraska to teach school. On Feb. 13, 1887, he married Mary Lucy (Prichard) Auxier (1864-abt.1937). They had the following children:

• Mabel Auxier (1887-1981)
• Homer Joseph Auxier (1891-abt.1963)
• Grace Auxier (1892-1922)
• Ethel Emert Auxier (1896-1981)
• Edward Jennings Auxier (1899-1991)
• Raymond Cloyd Auxier (1900-1919)

In 1897 and 1899, Mr. Auxier was elected county supervisor. In 1922 and 1924, he was elected to the house of representatives.

Edward passed away in 1948 in the Humboldt hospital in Humboldt, Nebraska. He is interred at Heim Cemetery in Dawson, Nebraska.^[1]

Edward Auxier is buried in the Heim Cemetery.
