Biography

Mary Abel was born 30 Oct 1898 in South Menecht, Echt, the daughter of George Abel and Mary Shepherd. In the 1901 census Mary lived with her parents and siblings Barbara, George, William S and Robert at Mennecht Cottage, in Echt. In the 1911 census, 12 year old Mary lived with her parents at South Monecht Cottage in Echt along with her brother Robert.
Mary, a single Housekeeper, died at age 46, on 07 Jul 1945 at Taylor St in Forfar. She died of Sarcoma and her brother-in-law D Lakie was present when she died. She is buried in the Kirkyard of Echt.

Notes

Mary's birth record shows her parents were married 16 Nov 1890 but this is incorrect. The actual marriage record shows 16 Nov 1889.
