Hi Wikitreers, We have a veteran of the U.S. Civil War who is possibly conflated, but only possibly. He was unassigned to the 106th New York Regt. He served also with the 15th Massachusetts. The memorial at FindAGrave would appear to be of the same veteran. Are these two separate individuals? Any collaboration is appreciated. Thank you
Notes: only two men named on civil war database served with this same name mentioned see links https://civilwardata.com/active/hdsquery.dll?SoldierHistory?U&1797702 and https://civilwardata.com/active/hdsquery.dll?SoldierHistory?U&29804
Andrew:
I think that it is the same man. On both the pension record and the soldiers' home record that you attached, he claims to have served in both regiments.
Found this short biographical recap for him:

It assembles a lot of his history and his family's history in one place.
Roger
Thank you Roger!
I agree as another researcher of the 106th NYV places virtual flowers on their graves usually is very accurate in the veterans final resting places.
Much appreciated
