Goal
The goal of the Greater London and Middlesex Team is to raise the standards of Greater London and Middlesex profiles, to devise topics to work on which will increase the presence of Greater London and Middlesex profiles on WikiTree and to provide resources and assistance to those working on Greater London and Middlesex profiles.
How you can help
Reducing the number of errors and unsourced profiles in our stats that are updated weekly will go a long way to improving the quality of our county and our individual profiles. Even if you can only contribute an hour or so a week, it does make a difference.

Statistics
The England team use a standard set of statistics to check on the progress of each county and to highlight areas which need work.
The recent statistics for Greater London and Middlesex can be found here. These tables gives an overview of the profiles, showing how our branch of the tree is growing and how its quality is improving.
Team members have been working hard over the last few months to reduce the numbers of unsourced profiles.
15th June 2023 update London reduced the unsourced profiles by 54 last week. Middlesex reduced the unsourced another 50 last week, and we are only 65 away from being below the figure at the beginning of the year.
Praise for London and Middlesex on the England Statistics Commentary
6th May - Great result for Middlesex with unsourced numbers falling for 4 weeks and suggestions for 3 weeks

Can anyone recommend to me a free to view site where I might find possible newspaper reports from that time? (Rev Fred died 20 July 1903, and was buried on the 22nd - as was Lucy.) If there are no free to view sites, does anyone have access -- and the time and willingness -- to check on whatever pay to view sites may have something? Ancestry library edition gives me nothing -- and I had no luck when checking the National Archives (not that I am an expert in using TNA, and may simply have missed it).

British Newspaper Archive, subscription site.
I had been wondering if it was murder-suicide, so am "happy" to know that was not the case. I will resume working up a biography for her.
I'll leave it as you have it, I think, as I have reached the point in my day where I am making stupid, stupid errors. Which tells me it's time to stop, and maybe read g2g -- or a book! -- for a while.
There is an excellent article giving full details of both Lucy and Frederick's deaths, including details of the inquest, services held, and funeral, etc. This was published in the local Warrington Guardian on Wednesday 22 July 1903. It's quite long. I can transcribe it, but it will take some time, and is too long for a comment. Message me separately if you would like the full transcription.
Your comment must be at least 30 characters long.
Thanks, everyone.
The stats this week DO NOT yet reflect the contributions from the Source-A-Thon. I was looking at all the counties in East England and wondering what went wrong or what parameter has changed. No, the sourced profiles from over this past weekend are still yet to drop off. Click on say 1900s or 1800s unsourced and you'll see a ton of comments indicating a profile has been improved with a source added.
So that total in "unsourced" is technically wrong at this point. I'm not sure if we're getting a revision later this week, or if it won't be until next week, but please do not feel discouraged.
Enjoy yourself in Greater London and Middlesex Sarah
Neither place was in Middlesex at the time (1917, and 1995), and I ended up not adding any categories except one for Fareham, Hampshire.
Also (this isn't a Greater London thing, but it's in my brain because it's related to why I didn't add categories) - why is there no category for the Women's Land Army? Australia got one!
My lady is a long overlooked Notable.
I added the {{Notables Sticker|England, Notables}} - but could not think of anything else. It's not really that she did anything spectacular, other than just be herself and stand up for her rights. But things happened because of her.
If you're trying to get the person's profile to appear in Middlesex Notables, yes, put it in Middlesex Notables as you entered above - sorry, just saw this and it's been there a month! And sometimes it starts with a small act, that leads to greater things. Rosa Parks is a good example.
Kind regards,
Raewyn.
By the way, found the profile! Wonderful biography there! And I just learned something new. So thank you so much for your contributions, not just to Wikitree, but to enlightening me. That woman was tough!

I'm sorry I made it so hard to find her, it wasn't intentional. I had no idea anyone would actually be interested.
Thank you

From saturday, 1 February, we are running a month-long "Go Green" challenge.
This will be region vs. region, rather than counties, the winner will be the region with the largest drop in total numbers (sourcing + connecting + suggestions).
All the contributing county team members within the winning region will be given a sticker for their profiles :)
So if you fancy sourcing, connecting or correcting for our region comment below!
Here is a link to the regional data. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:England%2C_Regional_and_County_Statistics_Page
If you have any questions just ask :)
Note that you don’t need to sign up if you are already a member of this team. There's something for everyone to do, whether it be sourcing, connecting, or working on suggestions. Also, if you are concentrating on connecting, you may be able to find your county/region of choice on our largest branches page: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:England%27s_Largest_Unconnected_Branches
