We've put together a survey for you to fill out to check in with you, it will only take a moment as there are only a few questions. Filling out the survey lets us know you are still interested in coordinating your study and provides an opportunity for you to share any suggestions you may have for the project.
I sent you a check-in message several days ago about the 1776 Project to ask you about your past and continued involvement but have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project?
If I don’t hear from you in a week or so, I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things, but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.
We're doing our semi-annual check-in to ask whether you have made contributions to the project in the last six months?
Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the 1776 Project that you respond to this check-in. Please post your response as a reply to this message on your page, for convenience of record keeping.
Caught your WikiTree posting on FB this morning. Just for fun, thought I would use the connection finder to see if we have a common ancestor. Turns out we do. Joanna Adams and her husband Launcelot Granger are my 9th great grandparents in my paternal line. We also share a connection through marriage in my maternal line.
That was a fun side trip and in the process, I updated my Ancestry.com family tree. Will make sure all the linking profiles are on WikiTree as well. Thanks for posting.
Cathie Stumpenhaus ( Why my LNAB is not Chipman is a story for another day).
I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.
If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.
We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.
I posted a response to your triangulation query in G2G and noticed that we are distant cousins. Just for giggles and grins, I checked on GEDmatch and although we do not match using the default threshold, I see a 6.1 cm match on chr 16 that is next to a 5.4 cm match on the same chr with a total of 11.4 cM for all 3 cm and greater matches. This was using my Living DNA results RM7102686 (my Ancestry and 23andMe results did not match as well). Where did you test?
Because Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within a project coordinating them is essential. Please ensure location data matches dates of profile, avoid abbreviations, add sources with citations & links for sources to support the data. From wiki ID go to Research to find sources

There is another James Wilson, bn 1788, that was in the War of 1812 - bn in Rowan County, NC. In 1850, he is in Jackson, GA, with a daughter Virginia, bn in GA.
The only problem with the birthdate of James Wilson as 1788 is that he was married in 1794...?
Maybe there are two James Wilson's in the same time frame thereabouts? All indications for James Irvine Wilson say S. Carolina - 1773.
The 1830 census says bet 50 -59 indicating in or before 1780.
US and International Marriage records say 1773.
1850 Census says 77 years old = 1773.
