Biography
Henry was born in 1881 in New Zealand. He was a settler initially (in Whangamata, Waikato region) (1905-06 Ohinemuri Electoral Roll) but later a carpenter and built his own home in Auckland. His first wife Charlotte (who was pregnant with their second child) and their young son Henry David died after only a few years of marriage. Henry left New Zealand and moved to Brisbane, Australia after the tragedy. He met and married Henrietta Hindman and they had 6 children and a long and happy marriage. Henry passed away in 1962. He was cremated and there is a memorial plaque at Mt Thomson Memorial Gardens and Crematorium in Holland Park, Brisbane (Columbarium 8). The memorial plaque can be viewed at [1].
