Biography

Leslie Raymond WILLIAMS was born on 18 January 1889 in Tootgarook, Colony of Victoria[1]. He is the son of Edward Williams and Sarah Lowther.

Gwendoline Marion COKER and Leslie Raymond WILLIAMS were married in 1910 in Victoria, Australia[2].

18 October 1940, Leslie enlisted in the Australian Military Forces - Home Service; Service number V6799. He was assigned to the 5th W/P Coy R.A.E,, attained the rank of Corporal and was discharged on 8 October 1945[3][4].

He passed away on 27 September 1969 in Frankston, Victoria, Australia[5] and was buried at the Sorrento Cemetery, Sorrento, Mornington Peninsula Shire, Victoria, Australia[6].
