When Granville W Williams was born in August 1826, his father, John, was 27 and his mother, Barbara, was 21. He married Mary Ann (Mariah) Brock and they had two children together. He then married Malissa Jane England and they had five children together. He died in May 1909 in Arkansas having lived a long life of 82 years, and was buried in Pettigrew, Arkansas.
